The Parkway Forest Community Association represents the approximately 3000 households who live in the area between Sheppard Avenue and the 401 highway and Don Mills Road and the 404 highway in Toronto , Ontario . Our association offers the members of our community the opportunity to stay informed on the issues that affect the character of our neighbourhood and our quality of life. We are a diverse neighbourhood of native-born Canadians and immigrants from South Asia, China , the Caribbean, the Philippines , Latin America, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe . We are seniors and young adults, and we are families with young children. We live in apartments and row housing. Some of us have lived here for decades, and many of us have recently arrived here. We take pride in our Parkway Forest community and its quality of life, its Forest Manor Public School , our public park and our local businesses. The Parkway Forest Community Association serves as our forum for us neighbours to express our common interests. The Association is our liaison with the city politicians and with other government officials, with social service agencies and developers, and we work together with other neighbourhood associations on shared concerns. We facilitate our residents' involvement in all issues affecting security of our property, zoning and land use, personal safety, traffic and public transportation, and changes to our streets and infrastructure. We also sponsor social activities, such as karaoke parties and potlucks, to help us get to know each other better. Come and join us. If you live or own property in our neighbourhood or if you have your principal address of your business here, membership is open to you . Everyone is welcome to all our meetings, both the meetings of our executives and our meetings for the general membership. |
