Semester 1 Recap: (not inclusive)

Middle School and Highschool: 
  • What is art? : Students have an understanding of the braod definition of what is art. 
  • Art foundations introduced: The Elementsof Art and the Principles of DesignStudents
  • Art Vocabulary introduced
  • A varitey of art projects and sketchbook assigments given relating to art terms
  • NSAA Annual Fundraiser art project

Week of Jan 2nd -Jan 6th: Value study continues:
Middle School:
  • Words into visual images
  • Shading assignment continues
  • Shading still life
High School:
  • Assembalage model in form core
Week of Jan 9th-20th

  • Value study  (using paints)
 Introduce Picasso Blue and Rose period
  • Color wheel assignment
  • Monochromatic painting
High School:

Week of March 26th thru April 20th

Middle School

  • Began working on clay project/ Face Mugs-Cups

High School

  • Students are working on Collaborative Project Due: May 4th
