“MY ISRAEL” 

The oil paintings in this collection were inspired by the beauty of Israel

and the soul of Judaism. They are my impressions both visually and spiritually of the Land, People, and symbols that represent Israel.

These paintings made Aliyah with me from America after they were exhibited in Jacksonville, Florida. Wherever they traveled and were on display they brought Israel and Judaism to the public, providing an opportunity for me to present and share a different view of Israel than that represented by the media. This made me an “Artist for Israel”. As I have come home to Israel, so too I hope these paintings will find their home here and will continue to portray the deep relationship between the Land and the People of Israel.

Artist Leorah Parker was born in Washington, D.C. and has been painting in

Oils professionally since 1989. She studied with private teachers in Virginia, with additional studies at “The International School of Painting, Drawing and Sculpture” in Umbria, Italy and Jerusalem, Israel at “The Jerusalem Studio School”. For 14 years she has owned and operated a Studio/Gallery in Manassas Virginia. Since 1999 Israel has become her primary focus of interest and with that spirit she also promoted artist tourism to Israel.

 Leorah Parker loves providing people with a way of connecting to Israel and Judaism through her artwork. She also teaches painting, drawing, and art meditation.
