Paolo Bajardi

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the ISI Foundation, working in the Computational Epidemiology Lab.
I completed my PhD in Physics at the Aix-Marseille Université (CPT). From January 2011 I've started a postgraduate master course in epidemiology.

My research interests focus on the analysis and understanding of transportation networks, and on the modeling,  characterization and simulation of contagion processes. I've studied the 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic estimating the disease parameters, providing projections on the pandemic evolution and exploring possible intervention strategies. Recently, I focused on the analysis of large-scale longitudinal datasets of livestock trading system investigating the interplay between the system dynamics and animal diseases spreading.
