Group of 50 IIT alumni are participating in the first phase of watershed projects in India.

10 village sites have been short listed in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. This initiative would be presented during the PanIIT conference, 2008.

The venue of this conference is IITM in Chennai. Conference takes place on Dec 19, 20, 21, 2008.

The watershed projects are scheduled to be completed during June-Sept 2008

in time for the North East monsoon rains coming in October 2008.
