PANE President's Message

I would like to welcome you back to the Princeton Alumni Association of New England ("PANE") for the 2009-2010 year. PANE is a volunteer organization run by and for alumni, students, parents and friends of Princeton University in the greater Boston area. Our mission is to provide opportunities for area alumnae to stay connected to one another and the University, by being active in the community, hosting numerous cultural, educational and sporting activities and events, and contributing to the life of our regional community, which is home to over 4000 Princeton graduates.

PANE is one of the largest and most active of Princeton's alumni organizations. We sponsor a variety of social, athletic, educational, cultural, community service activities throughout the year including: the Snowden Mentoring program; the Tiger Tent at the Princeton-Harvard football game; the Princeton-Harvard basketball game post game reception; the Princeton Prize in Race Relations regional awards ceremony; and the PANE Scholarship Fund, to name but a few.

I hope that you will take the time to visit our website, the address of which is www.paneonline.org to learn more about the organization, the programs, activities and events we sponsor, and about ways in which you can become involved. If you are already a member, I thank you for you support. If you are not yet a member, I encourage you to join. A copy of the membership application form can be downloaded from our website. Annual dues are $30 ($20 for parents of current undergraduates, $15 for members of classes before their 5th year reunion and free for the classes of 2008 and 2009).

We are excited about the coming year and hope that you become involved in the organization. If you have any questions about PANE or wish to learn more about how to become involved, please call me directly at 978-927-8300 or drop me an email at ttrkla@bfplp.com. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Best regards,

Thomas N.Trkla '81, President
