Our trash sorting system is greatly helped with clear signs.

We sort our trash into recyclables, aluminum,
burnables, and pack-out trash. We encourage all campmates to choose food and
other items with little to no packaging, rind or cores. Whatever packaging does
come with the item is minimized before heading out to the playa. Upon returning
to Fernley, we stop at the Fernley recycling center to recycle our materials
and use their disposal services. We minimize burnables by sticking to reusable
furniture kept locally, not burning any plywood or Playa-Tech furniture as part
of our camp.
