Education & Training
Ask any of our dancers how their journey started when they were young. And it was nurtured. Developed. Supported. Given room to grow and blossom into the passion it is today. These are the keys to the future generations of dancers and dance aficionados. A seed that is planted. An imagination, captured. We feel these are the keys to the future generations of dancers. One of the Academy of Dance Arts and Performance's main missions is to ensure that the traditions of dance and movement are sustained and carried on. Through exposure and celebration, education and training.
The Academy of Dance Arts and Performance's nationally recognized education and training program is Dance Educators of America.

ABOUT THE ACADEMY OF DANCE ARTS AND PERFORMANCE:
-
The School offers the highest quality of dance instruction in ballet, tap, acrobatics, contortion, tumbling, baton, modern and jazz technique to students ages two through adult.
- The School provides a nurturing and structured environment that encourages individuality, creative expression and an appreciation for the art of dance.
- The School’s instructors are Certified as well as dance majors in college. Expert instruction is offered to both students who are training for a professional career in dance, as well as to those who are interested in simply experiencing the joy and benefits of dance training. The School is known for it's excellence in technique, proper alignment and style.
- The School is the only Conservatory in the area and the only dance school affiliated with the nationally recognized Dance Educators of America Certification Program. Rehearsals and performances with ADAAP allow students the wonderful opportunity to work closely with other dancers and give the students an exclusive glimpse into the professional world of dance.
- Our Dance Companies do participate in 2 professional Dance Competitions per year. Our thoughts on Competition are that they are a place dancers and teachers attend to learn more about themselves and to admire the great work of others. It's a place to learn how much they have attained technically and artistically, and to see how far they've come in their goals at becoming better at their art.
Dance is not a sport to be "won" like a football game. There are no national rankings and when a dancer is ready to enter the professional world, nobody cares what competition or convention they've attended. Dance is a wonderful art form and an expression of beauty to be admired, whether it is our company or any other company.
