I am a Postgraduate Researcher currently working within the Cognition and Communication Research Centre in the Department of Psychology at Northumbria University.
The focus of my research is the effectiveness of school breakfast clubs. I am particularly interested in whether breakfast club attendance leads to improvements in children’s behaviour, relationships and cognitive performance. In addition to working on research towards my PhD thesis, I was recently a co-applicant on an ESRC Knowledge Exchange Grant. The funding gained was used to hold a knowledge exchange event for breakfast club stakeholders in November 2010.
I also secured funding from the Psychology Postgraduate Affairs Group, Northumbria University and the BPS Developmental Section to run a workshop entitled 'Essential Skills for Postgraduates', which took place prior to the BPS Developmental Section Conference in September 2011. |
