What: Fur, Feather, and Fins at PETCO, with optional lunch before at the Aramingo Diner http://www.petco.com/content/locator/Details.aspx?storeId=290&Nav=2 Who: Open to all grades Where: PETCO - 3300 Aramingo Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa 19134 Directions: From the North: I-95 South to exit 26. Continue South on Aramingo Avenue to Westmoreland Street. Petco is in shopping center on the right. From the South and West: I-95 North to exit 25 (Allegheny Avenue). Make a left at the bottom of the exit ramp onto Westmoreland Street. Continue on Westmoreland Street to Aramingo Avenue. Petco in in shopping center on the right. The Aramingo Diner is next door to the Petco. When: Tuesday, November 25 Time: Optional lunch 12-1 PM at Aramingo Diner PETCO tour is from 1:00-2:30 PM Cost: The PETCO program is FREE. Bring money for the optional lunch at the diner. The Fur, Feathers & Fins™ program allows children to learn about the characteristics and habitats of fish, reptiles, birds, and small animals. At your local PETCO, lessons in science, math and geography come to life through this hands-on field trip. As students develop a respect for animals, they will also develop a greater sense of responsibility. The FREE Fur, Feathers & Fins field trip will help children in grades Pre-K – 8 develop and enhance skills in: • Basic needs for animal care Trained tour leaders modify the field trips to be grade appropriate. The field trips are 60-90 minutes in length and are limited to group sizes of 10-30 participants per tour – although this number varies by location.
