The Google Earth Glastonbury Festival map project.
WelcomeWhether you are new to the festival and want to get a feel for what you'll find, or are an old hand wanting to seek out those hidden places you can never seem to find, this map will hopefully help. The current version is based on 2007, and includes both items from the official map distributed at the festival, and other highlights - notably a few of the best food stalls - recommended by other visitors. Remember that the layout of the festival evolves every year, so what you see here might not all be in the same place (or there at all!) this year, however a 2008 version of this should be available shortly before this year's festival. You will need to have Google Earth installed to use this - you can download it here Glastonbury Festival Google Earth Map 1.2 If this does not open automatically, use 'Open' in Google Earth, and locate the GlastoEarth.kmz file that has been downloaded. Tip: Looking cluttered? You can hide different types of items by using the checkboxes in the Places panel, or zoom in. Upgrading from a previous GlastoEarth? Remember to delete or turn off the old one to avoid confusion. Linking to GlastoEarth? Link to this page - http://paholmes.googlepages.com - so you always get the current version. Organising a Public Group Camp? If you are organising a group camp that isn't private, an d want to be on the map, please let me know. If you are organising it via a forum, remember to include the URL of the thread for the camp. | New in 1.2- Car Approach Routes ...and loads of other improvements, of course :)
New in 1.1- Nearly Fifty Stages ...and Hundreds of other improvements. There's even the pylons! Map People
