The legend is this that Lord Ram, Sita and Laxman while going for Banwas, worshiped Lord Shiva at this place on the Day of Wednesday. (बुद्धवार ) hence it is called Budheswar Mahadev Temple. It is mostly visited by local people and Mundan, etc. customs are done here. Adjacent to the temple, there is a Sarovar (water pond). However, there was no water inside the sarovar. How to reach: Direct conveyance is available from Chowk, Lucknow. When you visit Imambara, etc. in Lucknow, you can reach here easily as the temple in on main road - Mohaan Road. If you come from Alambagh side, take the ring road from Awadh Hospital Crossing towards Mohaan Road. Owing to foot-over bridges, it is not easy to reach the temple. Pooja Shops: Shops selling coconet, flowers along with Prasad are in front of temple. You can buy Prasad here to offer in the temple. There is enough parking space outside and inside as well.
