Arrow of Light: With Crossover a little less than 2 weeks away, all scouts participating will need to make their Arrow of Light. We are going to meet in the scout room this Saturday 2/27 from 11-1 to decorate them with the scouts' achievements. Since every scouts' arrow will be different and may take a little while to complete, please have one parent attend to help. The Boy Scout shop only has 13 arrows available at this time that we will buy tomorrow to have for the meeting. We have 17 scouts in our den so please respond to Trudy or Melissa ASAP so we can see if we have to get more. Only those scouts that are going to Crossover at Camp Wilkes will need the arrows for this weekend. The Boy Scout store quoted a price of $14.99 for each arrow, but this may not include the cost of the arrowhead. We will know more after we pick them up tomorrow. If a scout is not able to attend, but still needs the arrow for Camp Wilkes we can make arrangements to get it to you, just let us know so we can reserve it. THANK YOU TRUDY AND MELISSA AWESOME!!!!
Along with the arrow the scouts usually get wood arrow holder. The arrow is placed in the plaque and presented to the boys in one piece. I have found someone to make the plaques for us at a cost of $15.00. They will also engrave the boys name, pack, and award. “Pack 266 Please let me know if you would like one for your scout or not. Please include the exact spelling of your child’s name with your reply. I would like to give him an exact count as soon as possible. This is in addition to the arrow building on Saturday. Popcorn Show and Sell: If you did not sell popcorn please bring $35 to next event. If your scout participated in show and sell the balance is $25. If you sold $100 or more of popcorn you are good. Pack Event:
Camp Wilkes - March 5th, 6th & 7th
Den Info:
Den Meetings – We will follow the same format as last year. Please get together with another scout parent and organize a den meeting for the den. If you did not have a chance to plan one last year, please try to sign-up early this year. If you decide to use the scout room please call the rectory to schedule your date. We are not limited to the scout room, feel free to have a den meeting anywhere including a park, museum, or any fun learning experience for the boys. Here is the link to the Webelos II virtual handbook: Dues: We will not collect den dues. If everyone organizes a den meeting the cost will be equally shared. Please include a snack and drink with the den meeting. We have 19 scouts.
