End of Year Picnic May 17

Everything is ready for the end of year picnic this Sunday. The Pack will be providing the hot dogs; here's what you can bring:

Tigers: side dish or salad
Wolves: dessert
Bears: two two-liter soft drink bottles
WEBELOS: snack foods

All: footballs, frisbees, kickballs, etc.

Yard Charge

Thanks to all who came out to do a good turn.

Plenty of great photos here.

Popcorn Sale Ends

Thanks to all for your efforts to sell popcorn. If you haven't settled up yet, please do so ASAP.

Flag Ceremony

The Bears led the way on Tuesday, September 23, as several scouts showed up to take part in a flag-raising ceremony. They learned the proper way to fold the flag, unfurl it, and run it up the flagpole.

They finished it all off with the "Pledge of Allegiance," and then scampered off to start their school day.

September Pack Meeting

Put it in the books, Pack 228 held its monthly meeting on Sunday September 14, and got everyone psyched up for all our upcoming events, such as the overnighter at Bonnie Park, the Popcorn Sale, the flag-raising at St. Mary's School (rescheduled to Tuesday, September 23 at 8:15 a.m.), and the Eagle Scout ceremony.

Now  everyone, get to work on your sailboats: October is Raingutter Regatta season!

Scouts Storm Vermilion

We kicked off the scouting season right on Sunday, August 17, assembling under a classic summer sky for a fun-filled picnic.

A big shout of thanks to Bob Hezel for organizing the day's exciting round of activities.

If anyone has more photos, send them in and we'll post them here.
