The corresponding secretary writes letters on behalf of the club.
General Duties
- Send thank-you notes to guest speakers, to community members who make donations to the club, and to community members who volunteer their time, materials, or services to the club.
- Receive club correspondence (how does this happen???).
- File all correspondence in the secretary's binder.
At Club Meetings
- Arrive early to help the other officers greet members and guests as they arrive.
- When called upon by the president, read aloud to the club members any correspondence received by the club.
- Report on any letters you have written on behalf of the club since the last meeting.
- During the meeting, make notes of any correspondence that club members decide they want you to write.
- Be prepared to take minutes of the meetings if the recording secretary must miss a meeting.
