Horses

 
 
The horse project is a fun way to learn about all aspects of raising and showing horses: including anatomy, health, management, breeding and showing.

In 2007-2008 we are having regular project meetings at Millwood Ranch, under the leadership of Rita Pharr, a professional riding instructor.

In addition to regular project meetings there are field trips to several events. In 2005-2006 we took trips to the H Bar D Stables (near Petaluma) and Los Acres Ranch (near Stockton), where Miniature and Arabian horses (respectively) are bread, raised, trained and shown (see Links below).
