I am a PhD student in philosophy at Trinity College Dublin. My areas of specialization are aesthetics and philosophy of language. I am particularly interested in the semantics/pragmatics interface, non-truth conditional theories of meaning, fiction, alethic modality and aesthetic knowledge. My dissertation is entitled Meaning Manifest and is further developing speech act conditional semantics as an alternative to truth conditional semantics. Supervising me is Jim "the divine" Levine. I've been teaching philosophy at Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, and the University of Bergen. |
