A Conference for Postgraduate Students in Biblical and Theological Studies 30 September to 1 October 2010 Oxford's Faculty of Theology proposes to host a conference for postgraduate students at the interface of scriptural, historical and dogmatic perspectives on Christian theology. The conference will run for 24 hours from 2pm on Thursday 30th September. The conference is supported by a grant from Oxford University’s Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. In keeping with this funding, our purpose is to enable advanced students from Oxford and other universities to engage in high-level discussion of a significant theological topic from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. We expect the conference will facilitate the experience of proposing and presenting successful conference papers and preparing them for professional peer review. At the same time, it should offer peer-to-peer encouragement and learning, especially for younger doctoral students. A number of senior scholars in Oxford will be invited to attend sessions relevant to their expertise, and will be available for informal exchange and conversation. Prof. M.
