Owosso Musicale announces its annual judging-awards day on Saturday, Feb. 25. Eligible to apply are junior and senior high and college-bound students residing in Shiawassee County or students taught by a teacher residing in Shiawassee County. Applications are available through participating school and private music instructors and are due by mid-February 2012. The registration fee is $15 per student. Auditions are available for music students who are studying in private lessons, or as a school vocal or band student. Memorization in part is required and the awards will be given upon personal merit. An undergraduate college student studying in the technical field of music may apply, for which an application will require an essay and a teacher's recommendation.
