Borrowing Policy
Borrowing privledges are extended to:
  • Registered Old Westbury students with a valid photo I.D. (SUNY I.D., License, or Passport)
  • Old Westbury alumni with a current Alumni Association card
  • Current Old Westbury faculty and staff - Retired Old Westbury faculty
  • Holders of valid I.D. cards from Empire State College & other SUNY institutions (maximum 4 titles, no renewal)
  • Anyone with a valid referral from the Long Island Resources Council Research Loan Program (maximum 2 titles, no renewal)
Unless noted otherwise:
  • Up to 10 titles can be borrowed
  • 14 day loan period
  • 1 renewal unless item has been requested by another patron
Tests & Measures
The CMC has a small collection of standardized tests and measures.  These can be viewed by School of Education students who have a valid ID and are enrolled in Education courses designed to evaluate tests and measures.  The tests cannot be removed from the CMC or photocopied.  All tests must be viewed under the supervision of a Librarian. 
 
Fines
Borrowers who return damaged or missing materials will be charged the replacement cost for the item plus a $10 processing fee.
 
Overdue Fees
20 cents ($.20) per day for each item
 
Laminating Policy
Lamination service is provided by the Curriculum Materials Center Librarian for School of Education students and faculty for use in preparing instructional or course related materials.  Items up to 27" wide can be laminated.  All laminating requests are to be submitted at the CMC service desk.  Laminating request forms are available at the service desk.  Laminating will be completed within three days.  The Library is not responsible for items damaged in the laminating process.

75 cents ($.75) per linear foot (one foot minimum)
