Children & Sports Do you like playing with children and games? The JUST LIKE YOU International Sports Exchange teams up with NIKE and goes to elementary schools in Los Angeles to teach children (8 to 11 years of age)how to play games, while having then learn about culture awareness and about connecting with children all over the world. The children learn about sports, international games, history, cultures, while understanding there are other kids just like them too. Requirements: You must be young, active, and have enthusiasm. You must be patient and understanding, and have time on weekends. Most importantly,you must love the children! Books If you love reading and books in general, then working as a volunteer in a library is perfect for you! You learn new skills, help out with the staff, and it is always a quiet place to study or surf the web. The Public Library is also has free access to numerous books, information, and learning. While volunteering, you can also work on your homework. Requirements: You should know how to organize books. Libraries have pretty flexible schedules, I hope you weren't thinking of volunteering Sunday, because well, libraries aren't open on Sundays. Medical/ Public Health Do you want to assist at nursing stations, deliver flowers, and interact with patients? There will be an Academic Session on Sunday, October 11th for teens who want to gain either clinical or a clerical role.
