Our Home Sweet Home

We purchased our first home together in the Summer of 2007.  A charming old farmhouse, 3 overgrown but beautifully landscaped acres & barn.  We will have a lifetime of home improvement projects, but enjoy seeing the potential & character, & working together to make our dreams come true!  Check out each page to see before & after photos.

Well...some work is still in progress!

Here are some before & after photos of our home!

More outside charm I found around the barn:

Some dates carved into the stone foundation of the barn.

I can make out Dec. 1924!

Ready for spring!

Ready for sandals!

We can tell our landscape was once loved but it's overgrown and out of control, however too many priority projects on the inside yet to consider before making the yard pretty.

Here is the front yard.  Yikes!  Somewhere in there is a concrete grotto with a statue of the Virgin Mary also.

See the picture above?  This is what you see from the road.  The little wooden enclosure on the side of the house is an enclosed porch area which moves the front entrance to the side.  Someday...when DIY or HGTV rescues me or I win the lottery...I'll create a front door and beautiful curb appeal.  The picture on the left is the back of our house.
And we have 2 beautiful Sycamore trees guarding the lower entrance to the driveway.

TONS of landscaping to do...someday.  :(

Grape Arbor: (being reconstructed Summer 2009!)

Romantic seating under the grape arbor (well, as romantic as old plastic furniture can be!)
