OtM-Blogger

On-the-Move Blogger is the software written in C#/MFC to allow blog written offline in Windows Mobile 5/6 phone and upload the content to Blogger web page, once the internet connection is available.

The software has two version: Free version & Human-ware version.

But first let me share my nightmare:

You can use OtM-Blogger for free as long as you want and subsequent release. However, free version of the software will add few lines at the end of the post. Those lines is meant to point to this software and campaign we supported (Read here for more info for english. If you can read Chinese, this site was created before the english site and the content is more closer to what the villager thinks. Most of the villages is aged and school kids and they can only understand Chinese.).

FYI, I'm staying at that area too when local mining company introduced Cyanide to extract gold from the tailing of previous mining activity. Not to mention that Cyanide is extremely lethal, the company is NOT managing the plan according to a Cyanide plan should be managed according to international safety guidelines. The mine's processing site to the nearest house is only 2 km away. Imagine that, it is EXACTLY at your backyard, a plan processing gold with Cyanide!

Unidentified smell broke out, villagers smelt and some of them felling achy all over the body. The toxic waste after the production is just leave beside the plan as it is normal waste or tailing. Whole villagers affected by the plan and feeling uncomfortable about it.

We don't know how many people will die or how long the environment can sustain until the area is no longer inhabitable. Until then, many more life will be wasted just to fulfill some greedy needs for rich people. There are people already dying, especially old and infant, which usually is asthma patient. Few months back, the treasurer of the Ban Cyanide Working Committee has found dead inside his barn without notice, until someone look for him. Even the autopsy report is not available and public statement has been suspiciously saying he died due to heart attack, he move there just to get away from the smell of the unknown chemical as his house is very near to the mine.    

The villager since know the "capabilities" of Cyanide has make their own effort to form the Ban Cyanide Working Committee to help themselves as well as our next generations. Government is not really helping as the mining also share-owned by Princes of the state, royal family is involved in this plan. Plenty empty promises has been given not only by the mining company, from the politician as well. Outsider not even allow to go in to inspect, including the villagers, to make sure the factory is indeed implementing protection mechanism and strictly follows the guideline.

Glenn Miller, the expert of Cyanide processing facilities has once visited the plan but still factory denied his access to the plan. However, from the gate which Glenn manage to do quick inspection, he's also issue warning that the factory is indeed violated many safety regulations which is supossingly in place to ensure it safety to the villagers as well as the environment.

Hence, since what i can do is limited, i created another version of this software as "human ware".

Once you purchase the software, the system will donate $3 to the Ban Cyanide Working Committee for their uncertain effort to fight not only for human rights, also the rights to have a safe living environment, and at the same time make sure the environment is safe to stay for our children, grand children, great grand children for the coming years to come.

You still can use the free version without any time limitation.

It's about human rights and environment protection.

However, the committee also accept help in any other form, not only monetary, which enable us to enjoy our basic rights as human.
