What does OTD stand for? OTD is an acronym for 'Off the Derech'. The 'Derech' is the path Orthodox Judaism ('O.J.') consider to be the correct path. Going Off the Derech means straying from that path. Although we feel that the term is somewhat derogatory, it is the term that most ex-religious understand. We have come to wear the term as a badge of honor ;) Who are the creators of this site? This site is maintained by Chatzkaleh, a nickname of someone that is still a 'closet-OTD', someone who does not air his ideas in the public and would like to protect his identity for personal reasons.
