Career Possibilities

What are your career options in Diversity and Identity Studies?
DISCO major and minors can become involved diverse fields that include the arts, film, performance, business, community based advocacy, education (K-12 and high education), engineering, journalism, law, nursing, medicine, public and community health, public policy, urban planning, social work, and computer/web technology.

For undergraduates, a wide array of jobs and graduate school careers are available to you should you decide to major or minor in one of the DISCO subject areas. Many undergraduate students continue their studies in related graduate programs. Others may enroll in professional schools such as business, medicine, law, social work, and public health.

For graduate students, a GIS in a DISCO area is an excellent addition to a curriculum vitae (CV) and shows potential employers or universities that you have built a knowledge and skill base beyond your actual major. The GIS can set you apart from other people within your field, thus leading you to that great first job after graduation.
