Welcome to Or Some Art!
Or Some Art is a recently formed arts collective comprising of artists from across the country. The group was formed by emerging London textile artist Lucy Nicholson in August 2007.
Lucy had never met the artists before choosing them based on online conversations. The result is an eclectic mix of work from a wide range of artists, separated geographically and in age, but coming together via the internet.
The curating of Or Some Art’s exhibitions blur the conventional boundaries of interaction by illustrating how social and professional networks can be built in the virtual world and then taken into a traditional gallery space.

Or Some Art: 'September'
Lucy Nicholson, Kate Ward, and 5 other artists exhibited thier divesre work in September 2008.
Among the work in the exhibition, Lucy Nicholson and Kate Ward explored nature, environmental issues and recycling, using painting and textiles respectively. Internationally acclaimed writer and poet Agnes Meadows joined the artists at the private view to read a selection of poems from her lastest anthology, ‘This One Is For You’, published by Flipped Eye/Waterways
The show was held at Ada Street Gallery from 23rd – 28th September, and the private view was on Thursday 25th September.
