The Brett Brown Sr. Volunteer of the Year Award
1. In 1993, Orleans Little League lost a good friend and volunteer in Mr. Brett Brown Senior. In his memory, the Orleans Little League Baseball Incorporated Board of Directors created the "Brett Brown Sr. Volunteer of the Year Award". The award was first presented in 1994. 2. Persons nominated for this award will be judged against the following criteria: a) An enthusiastic love for the game of baseball. b) A caring and positive attitude in the support of participants - irrespective of their ability - that is visible to parents, officials and spectators. c) A strong conviction for and dedication to the objectives of Little League Baseball. d) An unqualified respect for officials and representatives of the game both on and off the field. e) A willingness to give time and help, and to be involved in the promotion of Little League Baseball. 3. Nominations are requested from all members of OLLB. The selection is made by the OLLB Board of Directors through a secret ballot vote. The presentation is made each year at the OLLB Inc. Annual General Meeting. 4. A nomination should include a clear description of the ways in which the candidate meets the award criteria. It should be mailed to Orleans Little League, P.O. Box 622, Orleans ON K1C 1S9, Attention: Volunteer of the Year Award, or Emailed to president@orleanslittleleague.info. It may be sent at any time, but to be considered in a given year, the nomination must be received by OLLBA before 1 Jan of the award year. Recipients |
