remarkable concert was held in the church of Crozet, Pays de Gex on Saturday 3
March, when Francis Jacob and Claude
Roser, both associates of Bernard Aubertin, performed works for two
organs. The Crozet church, as we know,
already has a fine Aubertin organ, and the two players had brought a second
“portable” organ – another little gem by the same maker. It was well worth it! The audience in the well-filled church gave a rousing reception to the talented organists. Listen to a 4 minute extract from the concert here. > Johannes
Brahms : Ein Deutsches Requiem, Sunday 26 February 2012 An excellent concert in the Auditoire of the Brahms Requiem, with a well-deserved packed house. There was first rate singing from the Foundation Choir conducted by May Hofman and impressive, touching solos by Francisca Osorio Doren, soprano and Philip Thomas, bass. The two-piano orchestration played by Peter Billington and Joan Cambitsis was appropriately majestic and sonorous. Altogether a wonderful evening!
