Project Objective

The objective is to replace the present organ, built in 1963 by Gruaz, with a new two-manual mechanical-action pipe organ. A detailed specification is shown below.

New Aubertin organ design

The new instrument will be much more versatile than the present organ, with 19 stops rather than the current 10, and two full manuals (the present organ only has one complete manual).

existing organ

Existing organ by Gruaz

It will be placed in the same location as the present organ (the north-east corner of the nave), but will be constructed to project sound more evenly through the church.

Investment in an instrument of this type, which will be a true work of art and designed to last at least one hundred years, will benefit countless generations of users of the Auditoire de Calvin.
