What is Organizing the Curriculum? OtC is a multi-faceted initiative that explores critical issues in labor education and supplies tools teachers need to incorporate knowledge of the labor movement into their curricula, and contribute to creating a brighter future for the students in today’s schools. OtC started with the need for a teacher education resource and has developed multiple projects aligned with labor unions and social justice groups.
Organizing the Curriculum: Perspectives on Teaching the US Labor Movement, is forthcoming from Sense Publishers. | The Education & Labor Collaborative (ELC) is a grassroots organization of teacher educators, teachers, and unionists who are actively promoting labor knowledge. The ELC organizes and hosts Forums that bring together teacher educators, teachers, parents, scholars and unionists to develop and plan social projects that will impact the lives of students and future workers. |
