Our project is all about exploring virtual worlds for education for community colleges in the state of Oregon. Introduction: Through grant sponsorship by the Oregon Community College Distance Learning Association (OCCDLA), our state community colleges are collaboratively exploring Second Life as a virtual space for teaching, learning and most of all, community. We are in a pilot phase of our island's development. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please contact a member of our island guidance council. The members of the council are: MonicaMarlo Martinek, Regulus Darkstone, Ruby Sol and DharmaPuppy PinkLady. We gather during an open weekly island meeting on Mondays at 2 PM. You can check on the Island Schedule Link at the right for our next meeting date. NOTE: We do not meet during each term's finals week, or the first week of each term. Our meetings are very casual, we invite you to come join us around the Cascade Firepit. If you have Second Life installed on your system, click here to visit OR Community Colleges Island.
