Events: Dinner Meeting: Thursday, February 28 5:30pm
Speaker: Sherri Snelling Director, Brand & Marketing Communications Evercare, a division of UnitedHealth Group
Topic: "Marketing to Seniors 101* - How to Turn Silver into Gold" *Rule #1 - don't call them seniors
In the world of marketing the coveted 18-49-year-old demographic has always been the holy grail.” Sherri Snelling, a marketing expert who has created brand marketing campaigns targeted to tweens, Gen X and Y, yuppies and SOHO “small office/home office” audiences has spent the last few years of her 23-year career focusing on the largest, wealthiest and most influential group facing marketers today and over the next 20 years: the Baby Boomer Consumer.
Today, 78 million Americans are over the age of 50 – 11% larger than Gen X – and yet they are ignored by most of today’s marketers. They spend $2.3 trillion annually on consumer goods and services. For anybody in the field of marketing, if you don’t have a Boomer strategy, you are missing the boat.
Ms. Snelling, a frequent speaker and media spokesperson on Baby Boomer and Family Caregiving topics will review: 1. Who Are The Boomers? 2. Why Boomers Should Matter to Marketers (today and tomorrow) 3. Rules of Engagement – what are the mistakes marketers make with Boomers? How to turn “Silver” into “Gold” through a smart Boomer strategy for your marketing organization
This is your opportunity to learn, network, and have fun with other marketing professionals. Please RSVP as seats are limited, and it's cheaper that way.
