Guardians ad Litem (GALs) advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children by ensuring that a child's best interests are represented in court.  GALs are trained volunteers who are appointed by district court judges to investigate the needs of children whose parents have been petitioned into the court system by the Department of Social Services.

Our mission is to provide trained, independent advocates to represent and promote the best interests of abused and neglected children in the state court system and to work toward a plan that ensures that these children find a safe and permanent home.
