What do I write in the card? This is your space to write a personal note of encouragement and holiday wishes for the unknown serviceman/woman who will get your card. Your support means to much to these brave men and women who are spending the holidays away from their families. Can I send more than one card? Yes, every card sent is another servicemember touched by this project. Many people send more than one card. Place each card in its original envelope then put them all together in a larger manila envelope and send them to the address listed. Many people decorate the outside of the individual envelopes. There is no need for individual postage, sending the cards together in one package will save you postage. Do I have to put a return address on my cards? No you do not. Though many people choose to put a return address in hoped they will get a letter back from the servicemember who received their card. Do the cards have to be store bought? You can buy cards or make them yourself. Many school groups make cards as a classroom project. Please NO GLITTER. We prefer the cards to be in envelopes, however if no envelope is available the card will still be accepted.
I want to send a Hanukkah card how can I be sure it gets to a Jewish person? We happily accept cards for Christmas, Hanukkah, and general Season’s Greetings. Please write on the back of the envelope which holiday your card of for. They will be sorted and distributed accordingly.
Can I send other gifts? Servicemembers do need other things, however this project is only for holiday cards. You may put a pre-paid phone card inside the envelope if you choose, but this is not required. The card itself is a gift. Please do not send other gifts. Do you accept monetary donations? Yes! The postage for this project gets very expensive. We would greatly appreciate any donations to help. You can send cash or checks.
