As long as there are hungry people in our community, our doors and hearts will be open to help.
Open Hands Food Pantry provides emergency food and toiletries to residents of Oakland County. Completely staffed by a dedicated group of volunteers, the pantry is open on Monday afternoons and Saturday mornings. In 2010 we served nearly 10,500 clients. Open Hands Food Pantry is located in the basement of St. John's Episcopal Church at the corner of Woodward and 11 Mile Roads. Enter the parking lot from 11 Mile Road. Come in the glass double doors and straight down the stairs. HOURS OF OPERATION Mondays 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Saturdays 9:30 am - 12:30 pm Clients must be checked in 15 minutes before closing and present photo identification showing Oakland County residence.
Please see dates when the pantry will be closed in the left-hand sidebar. ADDITIONAL FOOD ASSISTANCE Apply for SNAP food assistance benefits (formerly food stamps) in less than 60 minutes! Call to make your appointment today: 313-571-0300. PLEASE NOTE: We are in desperate need of two items -- peanut butter and tuna fish -- which are becoming too expensive for us to buy from Gleaners.
