5.2.2. Human and architecture natural selection

<Teodora>There are population where you have this very spread impairment, I
think there is a deaf island, where all the inhabitants are deaf.</Teodora>
<Cesar>Is it because their is no sound on this island?</Cesar>
<Teodora>No it is because they have this gene that makes them deaf and it is a
dominant gene which means it will be transmitted to the children. These people
have changed their environment to be adapted to their condition. This environ-
ment create a new evolutionary pressure, this can affect what kind of descendent, which people will survive and which people will die.
So for example : because they can’t hear they don’t like fast moving objects, so on
this island there is no cars, or the cars are visually stimulating, colorful and visible.
So since the cars are very colorful, those who have a better vision will die less be-
ing hit by a car, and they will have children, and generation after generation their
vision would get better and better. But now because people live a long life and
have few children natural selection is very slow in humans.</Teodora>
