Community Mapping Project FAQs


Can I review or change my submission?

It's not possible to review your submission after it's made.

However, if you realise that you made an error, or you'd like to change something in a previous submission, follow these steps:
  1. Open the questionnaire in which you made your original submission.
  2. Enter your name and email address (this is what we'll use to identify this as your corrected submission).
  3. In the section that you'd like to correct, enter the following:
    [CORRECTION OF PREVIOUS SUBMISSION].
  4. Enter your corrected information, and submit the questionnaire. We'll incorporate your changes into the final project.

Will I be notified when the project is finished?

The OOo Community Map will be presented at my talk at this year's OOoCon in Beijing. If you're planning to make it to Beijing this year, stop by the presentation on Wednesday 5th November at 3:30pm!  Following this,  we will make links available to the map on this site and through the OpenOffice.org site so you can watch its progress. 



Who will see the information I given in the questionnaires?

The information you provide will be seen by those working on the OOo Community Map, and much of it will be included in the final map.
(Note that it is not planned that your email address be disclosed as a part of this project).

The final Map will be made available on the Internet, so please only enter information in the questionnaires that you would be comfortable sharing with everyone.
