This beautiful 40 acres is located in scenic Ono, California, in the Trinity Alps Preserve, located about 30 miles west of Redding.
The land was raw, with no improvements when we purchased it. There are now 4 building sites. Three of which have dwellings on them. The 4th one is a new building site, where we had planned on building our new home, over looking our seasonal creek and small water fall, with small natural pool, which runs though the southern part of the property.
This property is perfectly suited for Solar, and small scale hydro-electric production. If buyer is interested we will provide copies of plans and mechanical drawings of both a wind charger and hydro-electric charger that we have obtained, as well as resources that we have been gathering to implement these systems. The weather is pretty much the same here as it is in Redding...we get nice breezes, so wind power would work very well...there are a few snow days a year... not bad though ...may be two to three days a year.... Ono, the nearest town to us, has a small general store with bar and grill...they have all you can eat Monday night meals...movie rentals, and propane...The owners are very nice people who live on the preserve as well. Ono is somewhere between 8-10 miles on the way to Redding from where we live....Next down the road on the way to Redding is Igo...Another general store with beer bar and grill. Their hamburgers are some of the best we have ever tasted. Next door to the Igo store is the Igo Post office. Both of these locations (Ono and Igo) draw a friendly crowd.. local gossip, and local community events such as Neighbor Hood Watch, large yard sale events, pot lucks, ect.
Though many of our surrounding neighbors pretty much keep to them selves, as we have, we have found them to be friendly and helpful in times of need…conveining a spirit of community.
