**************************** Training to help elders mentor new
clergy
The
Provisional Sub-Committee of the UNYAC Board of Ordained Ministry (BOOM)
is offering training for mentors in the Upper New York Area to help them better
work with individuals who are in their early years of ministry. The training
will take place on May 31, coinciding with the Annual Conference Session. DETAILS
This is an initial announcement that the Board of Ordained Ministry of the Upper NY Annual Conference will be holding a training session for district committees on ministry this coming August.
Specifically, the training will be held on August 14 and repeated on August 16. The Board's plan is to offer the training in two central locations in the Conference. These locations have not yet been decided upon. The training is one day only and will be the same on both dates. Training for new church leaders is also available online. One-hour recorded modules are available for the Church Council, Trustees, Nominating Committees, Finance leaders, and S/PPRC. Individuals can watch at home or church groups can view the modules when they meet.
