Standard mileage rate announced

 *January 1, 2012* The IRS has announced the standard mileage rate of 55.5 cents per mile will continue in effect into 2012 .  For the Upper New York Annual Conference,... this rate applies to mileage reimbursement for all employees of the Annual Conference Office, District Offices, and Camps seeking reimbursement from the Conference as their employer. The volunteer/ conference team reimbursement rate remains at 14 cents per mile as set by statute. Please capture this change in rate when submitting paperwork to Accounts Payable . If you have any questions regarding this topic, please do not hesitate to call the Finance office at (855) 424-7878, ext. 325 for Kevin or ext. 314 for Pat. For all employees of a local church, please check with you church treasurer for specifics on the mileage reimbursement rate applicable to you. However, the change in the IRS standard mileage rate for employees to 55.5 cents per mile as noted above also applies to you if your church reimburses mileage using the standard IRS rate.

 BOARD OF ORDAINED MINISTRY BACKGROUND CHECKS  -      http://www.unyumc.org/pages/detail/1388

The Board of Ordained Ministry updated the background check provider and is now available to start running the checks.  Go to the Upper New York website (www.unyumc.org). Scroll toward to the bottom of the page to the black section with small white words; Under the "Mission and Ministry" column click on "Ordained Ministry." The updated BoOM web page pops up and a link to the forms is about halfway down the page listed under  "Forms to be filled out by candidates for ministry:"   The last bullet item in that bunch is the background check Application packet.
