American Awakening

MoveOn is sponsoring a community call to action to save Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid--three key economic protections for American citizens--and more broadly strengthen social and economic justice in our country. The event will occur on Tuesday 27 September 2011 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at the Sequim High School Auditorium, 610 N. Sequim Avenue, Sequim, WA.

This event features noted speakers:
  • Keynote speaker David Korten, author of Agenda for a New Economy, and other books
  • Kathrine Ottway, family physician from Port Townsend and member of Mad As Hell Doctors
  • Robby Stern, president of Puget Sound Alliance for Retired Americans and member of the Washington State Labor Council Executive Board (AFL/CIO)
  • Dorothea Hover-Kramer, author of Healing Touch and Creative Energies, and a member of the Clallam Country MoveOn Council
The Raging Grannies will provide Songs of Wit and Wisdom.

This event is sponsored by the MoveOn councils of Clallam, Jefferson, and North Kitsap and Widbey Island.
