Welcome to the 2012 Spring Soccer Season!
In a joint effort, OLPH and St Jane CYO's will be fielding teams for the  2012 Spring Soccer Season in the Blue
Mountain Youth Soccer League. This combining of our CYO soccer clubs is for the spring soccer season and
shall be called CYO UNITED.

Spring soccer is a little different from the fall and is meant to keep  kids active, allow for some off season practice
of different positions,  and to give the opportunity for the kids to "sharpen" the skills they  have learned in the fall.
The Spring Season is a little less competitive than the fall season and is a great opportunity for kids that have
never played before. The overriding philosophy of the spring season and the theme to be followed at all times
continues to be that the season is for FUN and to promote good sportsmanship. As such, scores are not kept;
there are no standings, no tournaments, no trophies, etc.

Traditionally, there are only two practices at the beginning of the  season. This gives the kids and the coaches the
opportunity to meet each other, get an idea of the skill level of the team, and work out some  basic concepts of
soccer prior to the games. These practices will be  scheduled for the first 2 weeks in April. During these practices
we will be handing out our team shirts which you will be able to keep. We will  be playing 7 games this spring which
are played only on Sundays between  12:30 in the afternoon and 5:30 pm starting on April 15th and running
through June. There will be no games on Easter, Mother's Day or Memorial Day weekend.  Please be aware that all
games for CYO Untied will be labeled under  OLPH's name. Your coaches will be contacting you within the next
couple  of weeks with specifics on practice and game schedules.

We are still in the need for coaches for the spring.  Keep in mind that no experience is required only a desire to
participate in your chlid's activity.  We have experienced coaches to help out with setting up your team and handle
any questions or concerns that you may have.  So please consider volounteering by registering using the below link.
