The way neurons process inputs depend on their shape consisting of a dendritic arbor and the distribution of ionic channels across the morphology. This neuronal morphology-function relationship has been extensively researched over the past decade from different directions by focusing on morphology or on single-neuron computations. In this workshop, we aim to bring together researchers that are investigating different aspects of the neuronal morphology-function relationship. In particular, the focus will be on algorithms to generate morphologies, modeling studies quantifying neuronal morphologies and their variance, and, modeling studies linking morphological features to computational mechanism.
