Lever arch file CW key

Why not turn the lever arch file mechanism of your paper log into a CW key? First drink a bottle of champagne and put the cork on the lever end.

Then attach the keying cable with tape. Another wire is in contact with the metallic mechanism all the time, another is isolated from it. The end of the latter wire makes contact with the moving arch when the lever is pushed.
