Knee pad sideswiper CW key for portable operation

I needed a portable CW key for my summer activities.

(The rig in this picture is my Toaster transceiver.)

Keying mechanism was found in the junkbox. Originally it had been in some kind of a timer switch, and back in the 1980's it served as my first keyer paddle.

Nowadays I prefer manual keying. So this key became a sideswiper, or a cootie key. (More info about this classic keying method in this link.)

The key is attached to an inline skate knee pad. Its plastic cap was removed. Cable ties hold the key in place.
