JUNE 28 ** AFRICAN-AMERICAN HERITAGE CELEBRATION, HEALTH CARE REFORM CANVASSING**
Sunday, June 28th 12 - 7PM – **Join us – these events are fun!**  
*The Westchester Health Care Reform Task Force will have a canvassing table at the African American Heritage Celebration Kensico Dam Plaza, Bronx River Parkway, Valhalla, NY 10595 *JOIN US* in speaking with people about the need for fair and just health care reform in 2009!  
We will have postcards, information, and bumper stickers!  
*We will have two shifts -- 12pm to 3:45 and 3:30 to 7pm.  
Please let me know if you can participate and which shift you can cover!  Even if you cannot stay for an entire shift, let me know

                        COME KNIT SQUARES FOR BLANKETS TO BE DONATED TO THE OPEN DOOR MEDICAL CENTER IN PORT CHESTER

                        COME ANYTIME  FOR AN HOUR OR TWO MATERIALS AND INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED

                    HEALTHY FOOD DRIVE - BERNICE BOROW, RD ** Runs through JUNE 30, 2009 **
                        In conjunction with The Westchester Health Care Reform Task Force, Bernice Borow, RD, is leading a National Day of Service event 
                        to help the Food Bank of Westchester. The task is two-fold -- to raise awareness about health care reform and provide healthy food 
                        for the food bank.  The food drive will run through June 30, 2009.  A letter is attached, with a list of healthy foods to drop off.

CANVASSING - POSTCARDS TO CONGRESS from constituents

SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JUNE 20-21 *CLEARWATER FESTIVAL CANVASSING -- ALL DAY, BOTH DAYS!  We will have a canvassing table set up at the Clearwater Festival (Croton Point Park)  http://www.clearwater.org/festival/.  In addition to being really fun, this will allow us to speak with people and urge them to focus on this above all – if for just a few months!
