By completing these courses you will have the skills to supervise groups afloat at ODSSA and Oxford Sailing Club.

RYA Power Boat Level 2

Next Course: Organised on request - If you would like to attend one of these courses please contact the Warden.

This course gives you the necessary skills in operating a power driven boat so that you may supervise a sailing group while afloat.

RYA Assistant Instructor

Next Course: Organised on request - If you would like to attend one of these courses please contact the Warden.

This course is the first step in becoming a RYA Instructor. Having completed the course you will have the necessary skills to assist with the instruction of groups afloat, take control of a small group on an RYA course or supervise a school sailing group. The qualification is site specific so this course is valid for instruction with ODSSA or Oxford Sailing Club. As a young person you can use the skills gained from this course to assist on our holiday sailing courses. As an adult this course is sufficient for you to supervise a school group while afloat (subject to the other regulations and ratios for supervision).

ODSSA is a RYA Recognised Training Centre
