In October of 2006, a core group of people involved with sound, stage and light support for concerts in the Southeastern United States decided to identify themselves.  What once was a derogatory term for one of the team became a rallying cry for a diverse group of stagehands, technicians and engineers.  Although several of the members had worked together for many years, the Ducks joined forces as a unit to become more than the sum of the parts.

Seasoned veterans of entertainment production, the Ducks include video specialists, audio engineers, riggers, lighting techs and experienced labor that bring their skills to the table for the advancement of the group. 

DID YOU KNOW DUCKS,

flying in the familiar "V" formation, are 70% more efficient than one duck flying alone?   The leaders cut through the air reducing the effort it takes to move the group forward.  They take turns at the point and fall back in the formation when they become tired.

DUCKS ALSO

 look after each other.  If  a duck is ill or wounded and falls behind, one or two of the group will break off and stay with the straggler until they are nursed back to health or die.  The caregivers then rejoin the team.
