The Orange County Wellness Committee (OCWC) was founded in 2009 and is recognized as a division of the School Health Advisory Board (SHAB).
The OCWC is a coalition of parents, students, teachers and school staff, administrators and business owners who live or work in Orange County, Virginia. Our focus is on student wellness, health and optimizing academic performance during a school day. This is accomplished through a district wellness policy which spells out challenges to student wellness and proposes solutions that have been arrived at by an inclusive process.
