about us: octavia and katie huizenga are sisters-in-law who love kids, art, and interior design. katie, a special needs teacher, has over ten years of experience working with children aged birth to 17, living with cerebral palsy, down's syndrome, and autism. she customizes rooms to fit the whole family's lifestyle, making life safer and more comfortable for children with special needs. octavia is an artist and has been commissioned by individuals and galleries to produce unique works of art including murals, abstract gouache and pastel interpretations, and multimedia pieces. she is a new mother and was inspired to develop Octokat Designs after she and katie put their heads together to make her son's nursery. now together, Octokat has the experience and vision to create a happy, fun, and stimulating environment for your children too!
